The SWVAEMS Training Center is dedicated to providing top-tier emergency medical training. We offer a range of American Heart Association (AHA) certified courses designed to meet the needs of both new and experienced practitioners. Our commitment to excellence ensures that every participant receives the highest quality education, fostering a safer and more prepared community.
Our Training Programs
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Our BLS course is designed for healthcare providers and covers essential skills in CPR and AED use. Prerequisites include a basic understanding of medical terminology.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
This program is tailored for advanced healthcare professionals, focusing on the management of cardiac arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. Participants must have a current BLS certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Our PALS course provides in-depth knowledge on pediatric emergency care, including the treatment of critically ill infants and children. A valid BLS certification is required.
HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED
This course is ideal for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory, or other requirements. No prerequisites are needed.
COURSE FEES
Individual instructors may set instructional fees for AHA courses. The Council does not dictate fees for courses other than those provided directly by our office. In-class fees for council-based classes (subject to change) are:
